Cookie week

Since we couldn't make it up for Emma's 10th birthday party (sorry Emma) I wanted to make her some cookies to give as favors to all of her friends. It gave me a great excuse to not clean out the guest room (ground zero for all of my Kids at College supplies) and have some fun! Anna and Kate (our neighbor) also decorated some cookies for themselves. Hope you like them!

Hats off to Heather!

Hey Heather- this is a tribute to you! Thanks for sharing about the website that you found for couponing. I've spent a good deal of time on it the past two weeks and finally went out and got my first really exciting deals! I got $66 dollars of stuff for $7 at CVS! It's exhilarating- partially because I like bargain hunting and saving money and partially because I feel like I am working the system (stores like CVS usually rob you blind)! Here's my obligatory "loot" shot. I decided that I will spend the summer getting used to this subculture and hopefully it will not take too much time once school starts. Thanks again, Heather!

Fourth of July

We had a great 4th weekend. Anna and our neighbor Sage got together and did crafts Friday and Saturday to get ready for the party. They made lifesaver "fire crackers", a fruit and whipped cream flag, fruit shish kabobs and decorated our firecracker basket. It is fun because Anna is now at the age that I can give her the craft and she is pretty independent with it. She enjoys it more than having me help her with every step and I love seeing how creative she is!

Campout!

Ansley came over to spend the weekend with us and the girls and Scott pitched the tent in the back yard. They made campfire-less S'mores, we ate in the backyard and read American Girl stories. That night they camped in style with a movie, air mattress and fan. (I slept even more comfortably in the house!) Then Scott made blueberry pancakes for breakfast the next morning. They had a blast! We also went to the drive-in to see Night at the Museum 2 and made it to the American Girl book club. They each won a wooden doll to decorate and then return to enter in a contest. We'll see if either one wins! We had a great weekend with Annie!

Easter

We tried and tried to get a good family photo, but the sun was sooo bright!

The cool kid's table!

Andrea's sister Ashley and her two cuties were able to come.

Anna's Easter basket

We had our families over for Easter and had a wonderful time! The Easter egg hunt encompassed kids from 15-3 (we had three levels) and was a huge success! Scott sang in the service and did a wonderful job. It was a perfect Easter!

Easter Fun!

We had a great time getting ready for Easter this year! Anna's friend Anne had never decorated eggs before (her parents are from Venezuela) so we had her and others over and went to town!

The Lemonade Stand

Anna and our neighbor Kate had a lemonade and cookie stand to benefit the SPCA during the historic home tour. They raised over $100 to donate to the SPCA and then got to take the money to the SPCA. It was a great learning experience and a lot of fun!

Spring Break

Anna took the bottom two pictures herself!

We visited Georgia for part of spring break and then came back and spent a few days at home relaxing. We had a great time in Georgia and Anna had a blast homeschooling one day with Emma and Ethan!

Finally!

Okay, Heather, you inspired me to keep on blogging! (some free time helps, too!) This posts probably won't be in order, but at least they will be up! This is Scott's wall of family that he worked really hard on and was finished in time for the historic district tour.

Winter Visit

The Georgia gang came to visit us in January on their way to a family wedding. It was so great to see them again so soon after Christmas! We played at home, and then visited Downtown Disney before they had to leave. Then, I left my camera in the car, so it traveled with them to Georgia, which is why I haven't posted these pictures yet!
